Cause of disability. Rheumatism, disease of heart, kidneys and head. Chronic diarrhea and loss of teeth and all disabilities.
He receives a pension of Eight dollars per month.
He makes the following statement upon which he bases his claim for increase.
Have pain over body, more in right arm, knee and ankle. Have pain in region of heart and fluttering of heart upon least exertion of excitement. Pass water very often but in small amounts. Have pain over kidneys. Have diarrhea occasionally but not as often as before. Have (...) every 2 or 3 weeks lasting to 2 days.
We hereby certify that upon examination we find the following objective conditions:
Pulse rate, 79 sitting, 86 standing, 96 after exercise. Respiration 17 sitting, 20 standing, 22 after exercise, temperature, 98.6, height 5 feet 8 inches; actual weight 150 pounds; age, 66 years.
Rheumatism. Muscle of right hip atrophied. Muscles of right thigh soft and flabby. Right knee big and another one-half inch longer than left. Right knee and ankle tender to flexion and extension of leg and foot and motion limited. Tendons of muscles of right thigh tense. Except as above no stiff or enlarged joints, contracted muscles or binding or limitation of motion. 7,8 rating
Heart. Ana and apex beat normal. No valvular lesions. No, oedema or ... No rating.
Kidneys, Urine ph gr 10 22 Alkaline reaction. No sugar or albumen. No casts. No rating
There is slight hypertrophy of prostate gland. No evidence of ... or other disease of head. No rating.
Chronic diarrhoea - ... coated at base.
Conjunctiva clear. Tympanitis over stomach and bowels with slight distension of latter. Rectum ... No lumps. Nutrition fair. 4,,8 rating.
All teeth but three upper are missing. Gums firm. No rating.
Except as above all organs appear normal.
No signs of vicious habits.
